With a strong belief the details matter, and an unwavering ability to rise above the chaos, Mikayla Sciscente enjoys the slow, steady process of driving a case over the finish line. Her experience as a paralegal and legal assistant, to a judicial and ADR intern, allows her to provide support to the firm’s Business, Construction, Trial, Real Estate, and Power & Energy Construction groups.
Mikayla works alongside SLS attorneys to assist them with litigation support, including legal research and drafting, cite checking and blue booking, analysis of information for depositions and discovery, summarizing deposition testimony, preparing deposition and trial exhibits, exhibit lists and case notebooks and other tasks related to the management of complex litigation. She also has extensive experience in all aspects of electronic discovery, including managing significant volumes of electronically stored information (ESI) utilizing various electronic review platforms and litigation support systems.
Through George Washington University School of Law, Mikayla is actively involved in the D.C. Bar. She served as a Law Student Representative for the Diversity & Inclusion Working Group, a Connect Coordinator for the Criminal Law & Individual Rights Community, and she completed the Law Student Community Leadership Fellowship program. Mikayla received her B.A., cum laude, from Rutgers University in Religion and Communication in 2018.
When she’s not immersed in the world of law, Mikayla enjoys spending time with her young daughter, doing anything near water, particularly scuba diving, and unwinding on the yoga mat as a certified yoga instructor.
